Volunteer Registration Process

If you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer and want more information on how you can contribute, please contact the community coordinator dufferin@specialolympicsontario.ca. You may additionally visit the Special Olympics membership portal at https://portal.specialolympics.ca/ to complete an online registration form and we will reach out to you with more details.

The following steps will show you how to apply as a volunteer with Dufferin Special Olympics:

Step 1

Contact the Community Coordinator using the information above to discuss current volunteer opportunities and confirm which program you will be joining.

Step 2

- Volunteer Registration Form

- Police Records Check (including vulnerable sector search)

Step 3

Visit your local Police station to process your Police Records Check.

Step 4

Once you receive the Police Records Check, please forward the original copy to our community coordinator. Please contact her by phone and arrange how to meet.

Step 5

Once forms are received by the Community Coordinator, you will be connected with the Head Coach of the appropriate program(s).

Step 6

Start coaching/volunteering and don’t forget to have fun!!
